Our monthly Reading Group meeting is on Friday night at Genuine Joe’s. This month we’re reading and discussing Secret Hearts by Radclyffe and The Last of the Loudens by Robin Alexander. We’ll also hear from group members who attended the GCLS conference in Chicago last week. Come join us!

It’s almost Festival time! Here are some hints about the goodies and giveaways in store for you on April 1st! In the goodies department, we’ll have catered refreshments in the morning courtesy of Bold Strokes Books, and beverages in the afternoon thanks to members of the Sapphic Reading Group.
Early birds who register from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. will have the opportunity to win free books donated by Affinity E-book Press and Bold Strokes Books. The first drawing will be held after the program announcements. At the conclusion of the Festival, the door prize will be drawn from the total pool of registration cards. The lucky winner will receive a box full of novels from Bold Strokes!
Comfortable Shoes Press will be giving away free book bags to attendees. They’re also having a drawing for fans who sign up for their mailing list. The winner will have choice of an Amazon Fire Tablet or an Amazon Echo Dot. Visit their website for details.
Other goodies include the silent auction, the book table, and the raffle. The silent auction is loaded with a variety of wonderful items. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on books donated by Bold Strokes and Affinity E-book Press. There’s also gourmet chocolate from the Chocolaterie Tessa, a gardener’s tool basket, a $25 gift certificate from Nature’s Treasures, and much more. The book table will have over 125 novels for LesFic lovers to purchase for the bargain price of $3.00 each.
This year’s raffle prize is a stunning American turquoise necklace with a sterling silver Navaho feather pendant. The necklace was donated by our friends at the Turquoise Trading Post, which is located five minutes from the Festival site at 6103 Burnet Rd. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each. Proceeds from the raffle, silent auction, and book table go toward funding the 2018 Lone Star LesFic Festival.
