Yvonne is currently living in Texas with her partner of thirteen years, where she channels her inner rock star on Friday nights. Her first book, Sometime Yesterday, won the 2012 Golden Crown Literary Award for Best Paranormal Romance in addition to being a finalist in the Lambda Literary Awards. While growing up, her mother constantly asked her, “Where do you come up with this stuff, Yvonne?”  The answer was—and is—always the same: “I don’t know. I just make it up as I go along.”

Recent Book Releases: December through February

We’re always excited about new lesbian fiction! Here are some recent releases from authors who will be attending the 2014 Lone Star LesFic Festival.

BEL-WeepingWallsWeeping Walls, by Gerri Hill (December 2013, Bella Books, available in trade paperback and ebook).

An abandoned old house in a small town northeast of Houston is the site of a second murder, eerily similar to a supposed cold case of fourteen years earlier. FBI Agents CJ Johnston and Paige Riley are dispatched to find the link between the two homicides.

The team, including Ice and Billy, find the case to be anything but cold. For CJ and Paige, juggling the investigation while trying to keep their love affair a secret proves to be as hard as uncovering long-buried clues.

Seven-time Goldie winner Gerri Hill delivers thrills and passion in the chilling sequel to Keepers of the Cave.

Tiffany Curran has the ability to read places and people by touch, and although it’s a gift she uses to help people, it’s also a curse that prevents her from having much human contact. She tries to keep life simple, but that all changes when Katerina Volchosky calls in the Sisters of Spirits paranormal team for help.

Kat is tired of reporting about violence in the city and vows this story is her last. She is hoping that S.O.S. can connect with a serial killer’s victims to help provide clues. When she meets Tiffany, she dreams of a promise made centuries ago to a flame-haired priestess.

Ancient whispers of curses and witches haunt Tiffany’s nightmares, and the closer she and Kat get to the murderer, the louder the whispers get. Worse, Tiffany has a horrific suspicion she might know who the killer is.

BSB-SmokeFireSmoke and Fire by Julie Cannon (January 2014, Bold Strokes Books, available in trade paperback and ebook).

Brady Stewart lives for the fire. Nightmares of the fire haunt Nicole McMillan. Whether fighting fires in the Kuwaiti desert, in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico or the heartland of Oklahoma, both women hide behind a smoke screen of who they really are. When they meet and face the challenge of their lives, their passion ignites because where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
